We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer with a strong background in virtualization, firewalls, load balancing/failover, and installing and configuring high-availability systems on which multiple SaaS applications serve global locations.

We are also open to someone with less experience: The applicant would still need to have the required knowledge and skillset, and be eager to learn the role with us. Thai national or Foreigner welcome.

Salary : 35,000 - 65,000 THB /month, in Chiang Mai.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain virtualization infrastructure using XenServer.
• Configure and maintain firewalls using pfSense.
• Implement load balancing and failover systems.
• Install and configure high-availability systems such as MySQL Galera cluster, MySQL replication, and MySQL multi-master.
• Monitor servers and networks for performance and security.
• Check and apply security updates for Linux (Ubuntu).
• Maintain and troubleshoot Backup software.
• Continuously optimizing existing services and exploring technical solutions to address current and future challenges.

• Be on-call and respond in a timely manner to (rare) alerts.

• Strong experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Strong experience with virtualization infrastructure (XenServer).
Experienced with Docker and Docker-compose.
• Experience with load balancing and failover systems.
• Experience installing and configuring high-availability systems such as MySQL Galera cluster, MySQL replication, and MySQL multi-master.
• Strong understanding of NAS, Network Routing, VLAN, VRack, NAT, VPN, and Firewall concepts.
• Experience with backup software and troubleshooting.
